Weddin at Reserve Church Joines Ruth Ann Chritensen And Jerry Vann Sehreuder
In a candlelight service in the Reserve Lutheran Church, Ruth-Ann Ardell Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Christensen of Reserve, became the bride of Jerry Vaun Schreuder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schreuder of Woreden. The Rev. Evans Knutson performed the double ring ceremony for the couple. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Montana State University.
The bride wore a floor-length gown of nylon net appliqued with lace insets, with a scalloped neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins and pearls, a fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. The full skirt, which. had a brush train, was fashioned of pleated tiers of net and scalloped lace.
Her fingertip veil of illusion net fell from a crown of pearls and sequins, and she carried pink roses on a lace-covered Bible.
Mrs. William Jeannette, Albuquerque, N. M., sister of the bride, was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Eugene Christensen, Spokane, sister-in-law of the bride, and Kay Lund, Reserve. Their identical streetlength dresses were of pink silk organza with square necklines, short sleeves and fitted bodices appliqued with white daisies. They carried arrangements of amorted flowers centered with pink roses and wove, veils of pink net.
Toni Lynn Jeannotte of Albuquerque, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white dress designed like the bride's gown and carried a basket of asorted flowers. Her headband was of pink baby carnations.
Dorwin Schreuder, Worden, was his brother's best man, and the ushers were John Schreuder, Billings, uncle of the bridegroom, and Franklin L. Kenney, Helena.
The organist was Mrs. Gertrude Stephens of Plentywnod and Ralph Stenejhem, Plentywood, sang. Before the service James O'Brien, Butte, played a viola solo.
Assisting at the reception were Mesdames Sam Aasheim, George Lund, Murray Hunter and Edward Strand, who were in charge, and Mesdames Harry Olson, James H. Johnson, Kenneth Bareness and Lang Gund; Norma Jean Jensen, Barbara Jensen, Mary Jensen, Jayne Walsh, Shirley Morrow, Barbara Murray, Ann Michels, Myrna Ausheim and Janice Stephens, The decorations were in pink and white with pink roses on the tables.
Mrs. Schreuder, a graduate of Medicine Lake High School, was graduated In June from MSU, where she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Mr. Schreuder, a graduate of Huntley Project High School and the School of Music at MSU, was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and of theMSU Symphonic Band. He was the director of the ROTC band for two years.
After their wedding trip to Manitoba, Can., the couple will live in Belt, where Mrs. Schreuder will teach commercial subjects in the high school and Mr. Schreuder will be the music director in the highschool and grade school.
