Biografi for: Rosa Andersen

Rosy Anderson was born in Chicago, Ill., on the 16th of February, 1879 and died at Yankton, S. D., on Tuesday, July 1, 1941 at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith on May 4, 1941.
Rosy came with her parents to South Dakota in 1883, where they settled on a farm near Center Point. She was united in marriage to Chris Peter Anderson on November 4, 1898. To this union were born five children, three of them girls and two boys. The first seven years of their married life they resided on a farm near Freeman. After this they lived on a farm in the Spring Valley district until they, a year ago last March moved to their present home three miles west of Viborg.
Mrs. Anderson leaves to mourn her passing her husband and five children, these are: Mrs. Albert Hill of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Sorenson, Carl and Harry all of Viborg; and Mrs. Robert Gentry of Richmond, Ill.; and one nephew Earl Westergaard who has made his home with them since he was six weeks old and Mrs. Harry Anderson who has also been with the Andersons since she was nine years old. Mrs. Anderson also leaves to mourn her passing seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, three brothers.
Mrs. Anderson became ill in November and operated on at the Sioux Valley hospital on December 5, 1940. She has been under doctors' care until her death.
Mrs. Anderson was always a kind and loving mother and as such she will long be remembered not only by her nearest ones but also by many distant relatives and a host of friends. Blessed be her memory.
The funeral services were held at the Bethany Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 3, with K. L. Raynie in charge. Rev. H. Stallknecht officiated. The burial was in the Bethany cemetery.
