Biografi for: Lyle Randall Sorenson

Lyle Randall Sorenson, 89, of Bremerton, WA, passed away while wintering in Arizona after struggling with pulmonary disease and wet macular degeneration.
He was born June 7, 1922 to Hans and Mathilda (Peterson) Sorenson in Blue Hill County near Ryder, ND.
He attended Trade School in Helena, MT and then was employed in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He entered the Navy late in World War II and served in the Pacific. After the war he returned to P.S.N.S. until being called into active duty during the Korean War and served in a Ship Repair Unit in Agana, Guam. After the war, he returned to P.S.N.S. where he worked until retiring in 1973 as a Shop 11 General Foreman.
Lyle loved to talk to people, gardening, hunting, fishing and camping. He was always open to a challenge, and built his wife her dream home in his spare time.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife of 62 years and a daughter, Lyla Sorenson.
Lyle was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton. A memorial will be held in Bremerton this summer.
