BEULAH R. WALDON (1926-2007)
WATERLOO. Beulah R Waldon. 80, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 27, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, Cedar Falls, from complications of Alzheimer's disease She was born July 6,1926, in Cass County, daughter of Nels and Katherine Jensen Nelsen. She married Gordon R Waldon on Jan 15, 1954, in Waterloo. He died Jan 21, 2002.
Mrs. Waldon graduated from high school in Atlantic, and nIceived her bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She was an elementary teacher in Colorado and Grinnell then taught in the Waterloo Public School system as a first- and second-grade teacher for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Survivors include three sons, Gordon of Rochester, Minn. Bruce of Tucson, Ariz, and Steven of Copenhagen, Denmark; a daughter Ramona Davis of Waterloo: four grandchildren, Jennifer Waldon and Frances (David) Williams, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn, Samuel Waldon of Cedar Falls and Angelica Waldon of Tucson; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Folmer "Pete" Nelsen of Anita: and two sisters, Virginia Krozier of Adair and Mary Ann Stegen of Strawberry Point.
Preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Services: 1030 am. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
